Down Under
Down Under is the first area in LittleBigPlanet (PSP). It takes place in the Australian outback.
Story & Theme
The background is an Australian desert with shrubbery and dead branches around. It features a red tractor on the right side of the background. Sackboy is asked by Bruce to find The Mystic. The Mystic has sent invitations to the Creator Curators to go to the Carnival. None of them reply, leading The Mystic to ask Sackboy to go check on the Curators, thus beginning the adventure.

• While The Introduction is included under the Down Under theme, it is credited to SCEE Cambridge rather than The Mystic, unlike the levels following it.
• The name "Down Under" refers to "the land down under", a common nickname for Australia.
• Since The Mystic is the keeper of the very first LittleBigPlanet idea, Down Under could be the first place made in the world of LittleBigPlanet.
• Down Under is the first area in the LittleBigPlanet series to forgo the, "The ___" naming scheme. Areas with this name type would gradually become less common as the series has gone on.
